Happy Halloween everyone! I finally got pictures posted from Saturday night... unfortunately it was easier to post them on Facebook than to try to use the old way I used to use (See link above). System47 Star Trek Screen Saver

Okay I can't mention FREE software without mentioning one of my all time favorite Star Trek screen savers... by meWHO.com The System47 screensaver is a Flash based screen saver that will make your computer look and sound like the LCARS computer system from Stark Trek: TNG (and of course DS9 and Voyager). Please Note though that for some reason evertime Adobe Flash updates you will need to re-install it... I had found a work around that had seemed to work for a while then quit.... Anyway enjoy!

People sometimes ask me what software is good for this or that... over the course of using computers over the past several years and being a Technology Specialist I have come across several that I like... Mostly the FREE ones!

Currently while working on a friend's computer (which is where I'm writing from now while feeding her cat! lol) I installed and used a couple of the programs from Piriform. CCleaner does a great job of just cleaning up the computer; Defraggler seems to do a better job than the Windows default defragging program; Recuva does a good job of recovering deleted or corrupted files; and Speccy is just a simple program that will give you the Specifications of your computer. So check it out and let me know what you think!

I can't believe they cancelled my favorite show! I started watching this after a friend suggested it. I originally didn't think I would like it and ended up watching almost the entire first season online in order to get caught up. And haven't missed an episode yet! I wish they would at least do a farewell episode or something!
